NAR

Full of sensuous fire, Nar seamlessly blends her extensive classical training with the beautiful and ancient art of Bellydance.

Dancing since the age of three, Nar has trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and modern dance.  She went on to attain a BFA in Dance Education from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. After moving to Los Angeles she became fascinated by Middle Eastern Dance and began performing and eventually teaching with The Adam Basma Dance Company.

Determined to capture the authentic nature of Raqs Sharqi and desiring to immerse herself in the culture, Nar has made several trips Egypt  where she studied with Raqia Hassan, Dina, and other distinguished artists.

Nar performs frequently as a soloist and co-founded her own duo, Mas-Nar. She also regularly performs with Jillina's Sahala Dancers, Zahra Zuhair's Ghazella Dancers and Mohammad Khordadian's Saba Dance Co. Nar is skilled in Belly Dance, Middle Eastern Folkloric, and Persian Dance. In addition to being a performer and up and coming choreographer, Nar is also an enthusiastic instructor. She is thrilled to share her passion for the art of Bellydance in her fun, weekly classes offered in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills.

Nar has appeared at The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, The Hollywood Bowl, The Getty Museum, The MGM Grand Las Vegas, and at countless venues and events throughout the US and Canada.

She is available for performances, workshops, and events, locally/nationally and overseas.
