MAS

Mas comes from the biblical land of “Milk and Honey”’ Lebanon, a country that is the crossroads of east and west, which affected his style in the art of Middle Eastern dance.

Since his first baby steps, Mas started dancing and was the amusement and joy of his family.  He was fascinated by belly dancers and would be fixated on the TV screen anytime there was a performance. During his school years, Mas was involved in many plays and choreographed all the dances. He was the life of every party and always the first one on the dance floor.

At the age of eighteen, Mas moved to the United States and pursued a degree in “Business Management & Marketing”. After graduation, Mas went for a second degree in “Film & TV” at UCLA while working as a personal banker.

In the summer of 2005, Lee Ali, a professional belly dancer, discovered Mas at a Rachid Taha concert in Hollywood. Since that night Mas the Artist was unleashed.

Mas performs frequently as a soloist and co-founded his own due, Mas-Nar. He also regularly performs with The Belly Twins, Adam Basma Company, and Lazeez events. Many magazines and websites describe Mas as a young sculpted male performer that serves sensuality on a platter, a phoenix rising from the ashes into a fiery dance explosion, beauty with strength in motion, and male dancer extraordinaire.

Mas has appeared at the Hollywood Bowl, Key Club, Highways Performance Space, Marc Jacobs’s annual party, and countless venues and events throughout the U.S and Canada
